“Take My Breath Away” is a contemplative journey about control, surrender, and tidyness. Inspired by the kinky practice of asphyxiophilia or erotic asphyxiation, the film explores the intimate choreography between suffocation and desire, where the absence of air becomes a language of trust, freedom, but most of all, tremendous amounts of sexual pleasure.
From a neuroscientific and psychophysiological lens, it reflects on how oxygen deprivation can heighten erotic sensation, intensify orgasm release, and trigger the body’s secret chemistry.
Our character takes refuge at his safe place, hidden away and built just for him.
Far from all the overwhelming outside noise, demands, and responsibilities of his personal and professional struggles, he uses this space to unleash his ultimate kink: getting off by self-asphyxiation.
